GoToWebinar, a tool used by SPR for webcasting the study group meetings, allows those who participate remotely of the meetings to present cases directly from their personal computers, as well as those who attend the meetings, present their cases on the SPR computers.
For this distance presentation to be successful, those interested must follow these instructions:1)
Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
expressing interest in presenting a case at a distance. This email should contain the following information:a.
Name of the study group in which you want to present a case;b.
Date of the study group in which you wish to present a case;c.
Full name of the presenter;d.
Name of the origin service of the case presenter.
This email must be sent to SPR up to seven days before the date of the meeting. Emails sent after this deadline will be queued for presentation at the next session. Note: Sending the e-mail within the stipulated period does not guarantee that the case will be presented at the requested meeting. Factors such as "number of enrolled cases" among others may cause the case not to be presented at the required meeting.2)
Fill out the declaration of assignment of the rights of publication of the case on the SPR website, which will be delivered via email by SPR. This document must be signed and returned by email to the SPR by the date of the meeting.3)
Register for the desired virtual meeting. The registration links and access to the virtual meetings are on the Via Web Broadcasts page on the SPR website: https://spr.org.br/evento/40/transmissao-via-web/programacao
On the day of the meeting, the presenter should access the virtual room 30 minutes before the meeting starts. For example, if the meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm, the presenter should make the call at 7:30 p.m. This early access will enable SPR technicians to test your connection, audio, and video to avoid technical issues during the presentation of the case.5)
After performing the tests, the presenter should remain connected to the virtual room, waiting for the coordinator of the group to announce the moment of his/her presentation. Technical prerequisites for case presentation at a distance:a.
Computer with Windows 7 or higher operating system or OSX; b.
Updated Internet browser;c.
Broadband Internet connection;d.
Microphone (it can be the computer’s or an external microphone);e.
Speakers or headphones to listen to the audio of the meeting.
